Our physical body is made up of five elements. The first element is Earth, the second is Water, third is Fire, fourth is Air and the fifth element is Space.
When this physical body dies and the body is cremated of buried, these elements again get released to the Universe. Ninety percent of the time we remain in this Body consciousness.
This body has five senses, namely, sense of sight, sense of smell, sense of hearing, sense of touch and finally the sense of taste.
Most of the time we interact with this objective world with these 5 sense organs in one way or other and do not spend time to contemplate on our higher Self or Soul.
When this physical body is damaged and diseased, we rush to get it fixed somehow, but do not bother to think of why did we fall sick in the first place. We hardly focus on the root cause of our diseases.
The inside of the body is made up of Soul or the Consciousness, which does not change. The unchanging Self is called Shiva, Brahman, Atma or Soul and the ever changing Body is called Shava or Prakriti or Maya.
The constant interaction of the changing self and the unchanging self is called Life. The Soul travels from one Body to another depending on our Karma.
While being alive in this body, when we learn to focus on the subtle Self which is most powerful, we can bring noticeable changes to this Body and Mind. Just like the saying goes, wherever you focus your attention or awareness, the manifestation happens there.
So if we learn to put some amount of attention of these subtle substances of our being, the gross substance will derive more power as well.
